“I fear insignificance more than I fear failure.” -Orrin Woodward
Developing a culture of serving is what Life Leadership Members do best. Since the announcement of the LIFE on Life Initiative, more and more leaders are getting involved in their local communities to serve and give back to those who are less fortunate. These featured stories are making headlines across social media and all over search engines; we are truly making a difference.
Recently, a group of community members from St. Louis, Missouri, organized an opportunity for their leaders to serve at a local food pantry and clothing center that’s run by Prospect Hill Baptist Church. Raymond and Tina Abernathy, leaders in the area, decided to make LIFE on Life a team culture after the impact that it had on their teammates a few months ago.
“This past winter our team went to the streets of St. Louis to pass out food and clothing to the homeless. That same day we also visited and served at a children’s crisis center. We were so blessed by the opportunity to give back that we decided every six months for our promotional events we would participate in a LIFE on Life Initiative.” –Raymond Abernathy
For their most recent outreach, the participants:
- Donated clothing.
- Organized clothing and helped families “shop” for clothes to take home.
- Sorted meals.
- Donated food.
“Serving in this capacity with Life Leadership teammates has taken our relationship to a whole new level. Once you are out amongst the homeless and helpless you realize how blessed you are and how much someone truly does need you and how much you need them too.” -Tina Abernathy
“The best part of the day occurred as we circled up to pray at the end of the morning. Three people that we had served asked if they could join in our prayer. One of our teammates reached out and asked them specifically what prayers they needed answered and we were able to pray, witness and love on those that were suffering and in need of encouragement. Several teammates expressed how this prayer time was very powerful for them.” -Raymond Abernathy

Great job, guys! I’m excited that the stories are starting to roll in. So many people are going to hear about Life Leadership because of the good that we are doing, and people aren’t even going to recognize that this is a business! 🙂
