“Make your life count by knowing your purpose and living for it.” – Chris Brady
The following story was submitted by Life Members, Roy Taylor and Greg Johnson:
Life Members Lois J. Railey and Roy J. Taylor have been working with Arrow Child and Family Services, which provides services including schooling and residences for teens in need of guidance and support.
Arrow Vision Statement: To become the preferred Christian provider of child welfare and educational services connecting church and government to serve vulnerable children and families.
Upon meting with an Arrow representative, it was learned that although the students (teens) were taught basic life skills, they were lacking in financial education. The facility serves thousands of teens aged 13-21 who attend school in the community and are housed in a residential setting. They are taught the basic skills of life. To meet their need of teaching about finances, the school received a total of 15 copies of the book Financial Fitness for Teens. This will enable the students to not
only learn about the fundamentals of living in society, but also learn about Financial Literacy. The books will remain in the residence for usage by various participants on a on-going basis. The information will be taught by employees of Arrow.

Roy has served our country as a United States Marine. He continues to serve and Lois keeps this man on the straight and narrow.

This is amazing. I am thrilled by the acceptance of the Management to include financial literacy Education as part of their service offerings to the teenagers especially the girls. A financially literate girl will make a better mother and would more likely teach her children.
