“I like to see a man proud of the place in which he lives. I like to see a man live so that his place will be proud of him.” -Abraham Lincoln
Here at Life Leadership, our mission is to set people free–whether it be financial freedom, freedom from debt or functional freedom. Orrin Woodward, Chris Brady and the remaining founders are committed to not only build communities of like-minded people, but to teach those individuals principles that the Founding Fathers of the United States of America observed so rigorously. Men and women from across our great nation fight tirelessly in our military around the world, and at home, to give us the freedom to publicly teach these invaluable life lessons. Because of their great sacrifices, one group of Life Leadership members chose to give back. A couple of months ago, the Rhino Team–based out of Pennsylvania–decided to volunteer their time as part of the Life on Life Initiative to honor our veterans. Greg and Lin Johnson coordinated this event, and the following is a glimpse into what this experience meant to them:
Our proud military men and women have served and continue to serve to protect our nation. Many sacrifice time away from family and conveniences that we as Americans have come to expect. Many also confront unknown dangers. Some have made the ultimate sacrifice by giving their lives–leaving children without a parent, or a spouse without a life partner–all to protect others that they don’t even know, some in a far-away land.
Fort Indiantown Gap in central Pennsylvania, one of America’s National Cemeteries, is the resting ground of over 45,000 men, women, and spouses who have served in the various branches of the United States Military.
It was encouraging seeing so many support our veterans. -Bruce Kuhn (Former Navy Veteran and Life Leadership Member)
Each year in preparation for the national holidays that honor our men and women who gave their lives; the cemetery displays the Avenue of Flags, which provides a unique visible tribute to all of our Nation’s veterans. This year, Life Leadership members were a part of the team that volunteered their time and energy to prepare an “Avenue of Flags” tribute by posting flag poles and flags to honor our veterans.
New friendships were forged with veterans, and friends or family members of veterans who also came to volunteer. Stories and memories, tears and laughter were shared as a camaraderie was built not unlike that of those on the battlefield–united in a common cause to serve. In this case, a small service to those who served by giving it all.
Life Leadership members have a proud history of recognizing members of our military and first responders at many of the Leadership events–a tradition that they embrace with an energy typically reserved for a sporting event. So serving quietly on a Saturday unnoticed by many, the men and women of Life Leadership–feeling a sense of reverence and gratitude–give back in a small way to say thank you.
I felt so good serving those who served our country. -Mike Parr (Life Leadership Member)
Not only did this group of Life Leadership members have the opportunity to say “thank you” to those who gave the ultimate gift to keep our Nation free; but they were also able to touch the lives of many of the families and friends of those who died. Life Leadership is proud to be represented by people who take the time to pay tribute to the many men and women who laid the foundation so that this company may touch the lives of millions more around the world.

This is awesome! My brother who was an Active duty service member in the Army. He just passed on August 17. He was 22. I also have 3 other siblings in the service. Honoring them and thanking them for their service is something I try to do every time I see a service person. They say it was their honor to serve. God bless America.

I have learned that what I seek (the basics of which is the same as other’s), will not be achieved alone, without like-minded people, and with wrong information! For me, being in the military was part of an answer and quest! As a veteran, and “ideals” person, I have come to recognize Lifeleadership as a solutions-bearing partner upholding the life values that are imperative, life-changing, principles affirming, and composing medicine that establishes true leadership…what most communities are lacking! Results beget results, accidents are not confirmed here!

My dad served in Vietnam with the 199th L.I.B. & just this morning he drove through the flags & later in the day we were talking on the phone & he said to me the flags looked new & I was able to explain why they looked like that. So much Pride for all that have served + for the Rhino’s & Life Leadership. Thank you

On this 14th anniversary of 9/11, we are reminded that evil exists in this world, and our “Sheepdogs” (military, first responders, etc) stand guard in defense of our safety, security, and freedoms. Please remember to say THANK YOU!!!!!! Proud to associate with the Rhino Team and Life Leadership!
Lin Johnson says
It was an honor to help raise the flags that day. It was our first time doing it, but it will not be the last. My brother, who served in Vietnam twice; and my parents (my father was career Army and served in World War II) are all buried there.
I loved seeing so many people participate and look forward to making it a tradition for our family and our teams.
Thank you to all of the veterans for your service and dedication to our country, we owe you so much.
Cathy K says
What a great idea, Team Rhino! That was awesome to serve our veterans, who our society so often marginalizes, when they deserve nothing less than our endless gratitude. Showing it like you did was just fantastic!
