“We are not here just to make a living. We are here to make a difference.” – Robert Kiyosaki
We are excited to announce Media Specialist, Jenn Headley, as the winner of Life Corporate’s coveted Golden Rascal award for the month of June! Day in and day out Jenn displays leadership, a positive attitude, and a smile. She is a dedicated team player and extremely deserving of the Golden Rascal Award! Check out her interview below.
“Jenn Headley is one of the most honest, hard-working, and genuine people I have had the privilege to, not only work with but, have as a friend. We’ve known each other for almost six years and have been able to work side-by-side for the past two years, and she has always been committed to doing her best no matter if it’s working on a project or baking treats for the office. Her energy and upbeat attitude are contagious, and she makes the office a fun place to come to work. I can’t think of someone more deserving of this award than Jenn for all the hard work and effort she puts in on a daily basis.” – Chris Janes (Media Specialist)
First of all, tell us a little about yourself.
Hi! My name is Jenn Headley. I like cats, ice cream, and scary movies. I am originally from Hicksville, Ohio where my parents and the majority of my family still live. I have an older brother and sister-in-law and a younger sister, which makes me the classic middle child.
How did you land your position with Life Corporate?
I went to college with Chris Janes (the other person in the English Media Department), and he asked me if I was still looking for a full-time job. Since I was working three part-time jobs, I gladly agreed to send in my resume. I was offered the job the week before Christmas and started on February 1st.
How long have you been with Life and what is your current role with the company?
I have been with Life for just over two years as a Media Tech. So I am one of the people that edits all of the audios that we produce.
What is the best part of your job?
THE best part of my job has to be the people I work with. Sitting at a desk all day isn’t the most exciting job in the world, but the people at the Life Office never fail to make my day 1,000 times better!
Do you have a favorite book or product in the Life portfolio?
My favorite book in the Life portfolio would have to be the Beyond Financial Fitness book, by Chris Brady and Orrin Woodward. I knew nothing really about stocks/investing before reading it. It really taught me a lot that I probably wouldn’t have learned otherwise.
What are you most looking forward to with Life in the next 5 years?
I am looking most forward to going to more Major Leadership Conventions. It’s always fun to go to a new city that I otherwise would never have visited.
What would you say is your lifelong passion?
My lifelong passion is learning. I don’t know nearly enough about anything.
Who inspires you?
My grandmother, Alice. She is 84 years old and has a busier life than I do. She lost her husband over 20 years ago and still lives alone, drives herself everywhere, and does it all with a full head of natural, black hair. She eats ice cream every night so that might be the key to a long life. 🙂
Tell us about one of your most embarrassing experiences.
I honestly don’t embarrass easily, so I can’t think of any. I do have plenty of awkward / funny experiences, but no one has enough time to read them all. 🙂
Do you have a favorite quote?
“There is no such thing as a bad day; some days are just better than others.” – my high school science teacher Larry Zeedyk. (I am not sure if he is the first one that said it, but he’s the one I remember saying it.)
What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t working?
I reallllllly enjoy television – talking about it, watching it, reading anything about directors, the writers, and show runners. I also bake very regularly. I bring in birthday treats to people in the office and other office events. If I am not watching TV or baking something, you could find me hanging out with my boyfriend, friends, and/or cat and eating pizza.
“Jenn always has a smile on her face. She is a hard-working, friction free, positive team player and simply a joy to work with. I have almost forgotten that she is from Ohio.” 🙂 – Rob Hallstrand (President and COO)
Life is so proud to have someone as dedicated and tenacious as Jenn Headley in the Media Department. Congratulations Jenn, on winning the Golden Rascal award for the month of June!

I love Jenn! Of course, a mutual love for coffee makes almost anyone my instant friend, but I especially appreciated her while recently recording an audio Letters To Lindsey book. She was SO flexible with my foibles of mispeakings and kids’ re-do’s. Then, she was so efficient on giving me the product that she had made perfect! Now if only she could edit my life….hmm- now THERE’s a need that needs to be met! Congrats, Jenn!

Not only is Jenn Headley Life Leadership’s newest recipient of the “Golden Rascal Award”, she also won our “2018 Spring Baking Championship” & the (coveted) Golden Mixer Award!!! (We may have had an ulterior motive for presenting a working mixer as the award, ya think?!?!).
